Position

We’re currently looking for a candidate for our client in the Pharmaceutical industry.

This job opening is fully remote, hover the client requires ability to work in Polish & San Francisco time zone (afternoon & evening meetings are a prerequisite for cooperation with users in the laboratory – 3 times a week 1-2 hours of meetings in 17-22 CET)

You will be successful in this role if:

Must have Biology/Biotechnology knowledge:

• Cloning, PCR
• Sequencing and alignment
• Protein purification (SEC, Affinity chromatography, other) 
• Protein analysis: SDS page and gel analysis tools, protein activity assays, concentration measurement, mass spectrometry, biacore
• Antibody discovery platforms (phage display, hybridoma, cell cloning)
• FACS, ELISA
• Cellular assays

Nice to have technical skills: 

• Experience in using Swagger
• Deep awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Understanding of feature flags and environment staging

Nice to have Business analysis tools:

• Create User Stories, User Journeys, User Story Mapping, Domain Driven Design workshops, Design Thinking and numerous prioritization techniques (MoSCoW etc.)
• Operate on agile tools like Jira
• Awareness of the agile best practices in backlog management. 
• Create diagrams to illustrate the workflows and system dependencies in LucidChart or LucidSpark
• Readiness to facilitate Sprint Review, Sprint Planning and Refinement meetings for the team. When necessary, refinements are conducted across projects.

Soft skills

• Resilient to stress and high workload (please note that this is a product used by very sophisticated users with high expectations – ability to negotiate in a diplomatic & assertive manner is a must).
• Motivation and interest in system thinking (the success of this role depends on awareness of the business cross-dependencies between multiple applications).
• Fluent in English 
• Polish – nice to have
• Excellent communication skills
• Substantial ownership and accountability mindset
• Quick learner
• Self-organised, reliable and precise
• Be able to present the business knowledge in a simple and understandable form to the developer’s team
• Available for travel once a year to the USA
• We’re searching for a workshop acumen; therefore, the candidate needs to be fluent and feel comfortable in facilitating and conducting large group meetings. 

Tasks waiting for you:

• Communication, collaboration and support of product development between the business and IT
• Gathering requirements from business stakeholders concerning the functionality and design of the application 
• Working with business stakeholders, interpreting and translating their needs into a consistent vision of a product
• Working closely with Product Owner, UX designer and other analysts to find the optimal solutions and present them to the business stakeholders
• Working closely with the Product Owner to ensure a good understanding of the needs of business stakeholders in a changing scientific landscape
• Translating and simplifying requirements
• Requirements management and communication
• Produce written documentation to support the development team
• Ensuring the project team shares the vision of the product
• Providing business context to the development team and inspiring them to optimise and aim for a better IT product
• Serve as a first line of support to the users in the laboratories (due to complexity of the system, bugs reported by users require initial domain triage that is being performed by the business team (especially BA), who understands the workflow of the users and can provide initial workaround, domain guidance to the development team) and set a business priority of such bug.
