Scientific Business Analyst Professional

The Business Analysis & User Experience Center is a team of experts with competences in the field of user experience design (UX), graphics, ergonomics of solutions (UI & Usability), business and system analysis (BA). The team consists of Business and System Analysts, UX Designers, UX Researchers and Graphic Designers. People with the above competences constitute a bridge between development teams and business clients. Every day, the team “translates” business requirements into those that are understandable for programmers. From the perspective of business partners, Analysts or Designers are “the human face of IT”.​

Contract of Employment: 14 000 – 17 000 PLN 
B2B: 14 000 – 17 000 PLN net + VAT

Responsibilities:

• Communication and collaboration between the business and IT;
• Gathering requirements from business stakeholders concerning the functionality and design of the application;
• Working with business stakeholders, interpreting and translating their needs into a consistent vision of a product;
• Working closely with team members to find the optimal solutions and present them to the business stakeholders;
• Working closely with the Product Owner to ensure a good understanding of the needs of business stakeholders in a changing scientific landscape;
• Translating and simplifying requirements;
• Providing business context to the development team and inspiring them to optimize and aim for a better IT product;
• Produce written documentation to support the development team work.

Requirements:

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Protein Science or related field with at least 3 years of experience in life science;
• Experienced in molecular cloning, protein expression analysis in various expression systems, collection and analysis of protein assay data;
• Very good communication skills, listen actively and presents high personal culture;
• Customer oriented, curious and scrupulous;
• Independent, eager to take the initiative, open to new opportunities;
• Easy-learner, very well organized an excellent team player;
• Deep domain knowledge in protein sciences, molecular biology and antibody discovery and production;
• Very good understanding of drug design and development process;
• Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders with different levels of seniority;
• Can present scientific terms and processes using simplistic examples, understandable to non-scientific audience (for instance to development team);
• Ability to take the ownership of the entire process of implementing the business feature, from collecting requirements, their adaptation and changes to the final delivery to the client;
• High-level proficiency in English (C1 level+)

  Nice to have:

• Knowledge about undertaking requirements gathering from complex stakeholder groups
• Knowledge about documenting requirement gathering analysis
• Knowledge about preparing business cases
• Comfortable with user stories and requirements prioritization
• Be able to present the domain knowledge in a simple and understandable form to the developer’s team
• Basic knowledge about Jira, Miro, Lucidchart etc.
