Competence Centre Engineering – Astek Polska

The Engineering Competence Centre has been established based on advanced competencies and knowledge of technology and engineering solutions. We bring together a diverse range of experts, enabling us to provide comprehensive IT services to the automotive, oil & gas and railway rolling stock industries.

Our automation engineers work on the maintenance or commissioning of a production line, project managers lead technology projects and software developers develop software, including in Matlab or Python. Our team also includes mechanics who design the machinery or equipment needed to make organisations more efficient, electricians who plan the appropriate cabling for them and software engineers who program PLCs. Electronics engineers implement PCB software, and embedded engineers program real-time embedded systems in C/C++.

We provide clients with both individual specialists and the entire project teams needed for a given task. Most of our business partners are large, international plants and production companies.

We work with the versatile and extensive CATIA software

Among other things, we work with the versatile and extensive CATIA software, which is used to support engineering work in many areas – e.g. design or the creation of flat documentation. Most often used in the aerospace and automotive industries, but also for the design of production lines, it allows us to check the ergonomics of products before they are produced. Its use makes it possible for us to comprehensively design bodies for city buses – including: driver’s cab, engine compartment, air conditioning, handrails, seats, electric ramp, roof hatches, control panel, monitoring, passenger information devices.

Automotive

System software adaptation in vehicles

The aim of the project was to customise the system software in the vehicles and then simulate the code changes and service the cars produced. Twenty programmers were involved in the project, detecting and fixing debugging errors in the code.

Modification and design of electrical installations

Our task was to modify the existing electrical installations and design new ones, adapting the electrical documentation of the cable harnesses and their connections for the bus. 30 engineers developed a model for the collaboration between the technical and electronics departments and planned the cable routes and the list of parts needed for the purchasing department.

Industry

Design of chain and roller conveyors

Our team was involved in the design of the chain and roller conveyors and the creation of complete 2D and 3D manufacturing documentation. The work was carried out directly at the customer’s site to meet the high time and quality requirements.
