Competence Centre Software Quality Assurance – Astek Polska

Competence Centre for Software Quality Assurance (SQA) is committed to delivering, maintaining and setting new directions in quality. All this with the objective of comprehensively ensuring appropriate quality standards in projects, software and processes. We are continuously developing our competencies and knowledge, while keeping up with the trends present in the QA market.

Alongside our responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of quality, we take part in solving problems and increasing the efficiency of processes at our business partners. For the purpose of optimising the time we need to carry out QA testing, we have introduced the innovative Unscripted Testing approach into our working methodology. This has allowed us to reduce the time required for testing by up to 30%.

Testing-as-a-Service – scope of the service

Testing-as-a-service (TaaS) is a complex process of comprehensive testing services. Our team consists of experienced professionals with a wide range of competencies and job levels – from tester to test manager – which enables us to implement it and take responsibility for its entire scope. Prior to a commencement of work, we verify the needs of our partner, assess and recommend the scope of the QA test, propose a completion date and select testers with appropriate qualifications for the process. Once the work is done, full documentation of the test process is delivered to our client. Key advantages of the testing-as-a-service include fast ad-hoc delivery, with a single point of contact and the ability to respond immediately to new, emerging requirements.

Event management application

The project consisted of correcting errors, optimising and extending the functionality of the client’s application. The ASTEK Polska team was also responsible for developing the tool with document archiving and analytical modules.

Astek Polska was responsible for comprehensively organising and leading teams of manual testers. The cooperation model includes end-to-end test execution. We start work as early as the requirements analysis stage so that test scenarios are created in parallel.

Development of the framework in the area of testing

The project consisted of the development of a framework used for testing. Astek Polska was responsible for providing technological support for the applications under test, increasing the functional capabilities of the script editor, organising text objects and developing mechanisms to support script maintenance.
