Our projects
At the Engineering Competence Center, we deliver services and projects for the Automotive, Rail, and Oil & Gas sectors. Our specialized engineering teams work within project and competency groups, whose activities we manage. We also conduct training and certification programs to enhance the engineering competencies of our consultants.
Position
We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of HVAC & Building Coordinator (he/she) for our client from the chemical industry.
Offered salary

You’re ideal for this role if you:
- Have 10+ years of experience in HVAC design and building engineering coordination for industrial or commercial projects.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Have strong expertise in HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning design.
- Are proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit.
- Have experience using calculation software such as InstalSoft, Audytor, HAP, Trace, or PipeFlo.
- Have a solid understanding of European building codes (Eurocodes, EN standards), fire safety regulations, and safety-by-design principles.
- Have experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams in FEED and EPC projects.
- Are confident preparing technical documentation, reviewing vendor proposals, and supporting procurement processes.
- Have excellent problem-solving and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Have fluent English communication skills (C1 or higher), enabling effective collaboration in an international environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in pharmaceutical, industrial, or manufacturing projects.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and advanced 3D coordination processes.
- Experience with technical audits and value engineering initiatives.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimation, MTOs, and BOQs.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Designing and coordinating HVAC systems for industrial facilities, including heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions.
- Performing HVAC load calculations, hydraulic calculations, and air distribution design in line with European standards.
- Preparing construction documentation, including AFC drawings, plant room layouts, and building coordination drawings.Using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to review 3D models and resolve multidisciplinary clashes.
- Preparing Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for HVAC and building systems.
- Supporting tendering processes by preparing technical documentation, evaluating vendor offers, and managing engineering changes.
- Coordinating building layouts, space allocation, and interfaces between architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, process, and HSE disciplines.
- Reviewing subcontractor documentation and ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
- Ensuring designs comply with Eurocodes, EN standards, fire safety regulations, and safety-by-design principles.
- Identifying technical risks and recommending improvements to optimize system performance and constructability.
