Our projects
At the Engineering Competence Center, we deliver services and projects for the Automotive, Rail, and Oil & Gas sectors. Our specialized engineering teams work within project and competency groups, whose activities we manage. We also conduct training and certification programs to enhance the engineering competencies of our consultants.
Position
We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Industrial Engineer (M/F) for our client from the automotive industry.
Offered salary
Salary: depending on experience and competences.
You’re ideal for this role if you:
- Have a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Have 2–5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Have experience with industrialization projects, production launches, and manufacturing process development
- Have knowledge of Process FMEA (AMDEC), industrial risk assessment, and validation processes
- Have experience managing CAPEX activities, industrial investments, and equipment implementation projects
- Understand production ramp-up processes, process capability analysis, and manufacturing performance monitoring
- Have experience coordinating suppliers, preparing technical specifications, and reviewing technical offers
- Have strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Are able to coordinate multiple activities and priorities in a dynamic, international environment
- Are fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Take ownership of your responsibilities, proactively solve problems, and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate industrialization activities from project kick-off through production launch and ramp-up
- Define industrial project plans, timelines, budgets (CAPEX), and resource requirements in collaboration with Project Managers and production plants
- Develop and optimize manufacturing and logistics processes to ensure product manufacturability and efficient production
- Coordinate design reviews, Process FMEA (AMDEC), risk assessments, and industrial validation plans
- Prepare technical specifications, support supplier selection, and coordinate equipment procurement and implementation
- Manage prototype builds, production trials, process validation, and equipment acceptance activities
- Analyze process capability, production performance, and industrial KPIs, driving corrective actions where required
- Coordinate engineering changes (ECRs) and ensure successful implementation into production
- Facilitate collaboration between engineering, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Prepare industrial project reports, monitor project progress, and contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives
