At the Engineering Competence Center, we deliver services and projects for the Automotive, Rail, and Oil & Gas sectors. Our specialized engineering teams work within project and competency groups, whose activities we manage. We also conduct training and certification programs to enhance the engineering competencies of our consultants. 

Position

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Solution Architect (he/she) for our client from the biotechnology industry.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect who will define and drive the technical vision for scalable, compliant, and AI-enabled biosample tracking and lifecycle management platforms supporting drug development and scientific innovation. 

Offered salary

Salary: from 1 280 to 1 440 PLN net/day, depending on experience and competences.

You’re ideal for this role if you:

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Have 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or in a similar senior technical role
• Have proven experience designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
• Possess strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and large-scale ETL pipeline design
• Have hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes-based architectures
• Demonstrate strong Python skills (backend development and data processing)
• Understand FAIR data principles, Data Mesh concepts, and modern architecture patterns (ETL, ELT, noETL, GraphRAG)
• Have experience designing Semantic Web / Linked Data solutions
• Have worked with AI-driven data products and understand model reproducibility, versioning, and traceability
• Have fluent English language skills (C1), both written and spoken 
• Can balance short-term delivery goals with a long-term architectural vision
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Domain knowledge in Biosample Management, LIMS, clinical trials, or life sciences R&D
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, data privacy standards such as GDPR)
• Familiarity with scientific data types, metadata management, and data provenance tracking
• Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, MongoDB schema optimization for traceable and regulated datasets
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Solace, or similar data and messaging frameworks
• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI solutions in enterprise products under AI governance frameworks

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Defining and evolving the end-to-end technical architecture and data model for the Biosample Management product
• Translating business requirements and biosample workflows into robust, scalable technical designs
• Designing secure, compliant, and high-performance solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Governing AI components within the platform, ensuring traceability, compliance, and responsible use
• Collaborating closely with Product Management to shape the technical roadmap and manage technical debt
• Partnering with engineering, DevOps, validation teams, and vendors to ensure testability, automation, and operational readiness
• Creating and maintaining architectural documentation (SAD, ADRs, risk assessments, security design inputs)
• Supporting complex technical investigations and engaging with scientific and IT stakeholders to refine requirements
